Kogo dotyczy Who is affected
The right to bury a human remains is vested in the immediate family of the deceased - the remaining spouse, descendant relatives, ascendant relatives, collateral relatives up to the 4th degree of kinship, relatives in direct line up to the 1st degree. The right to bury the remains of military persons who died in active military service is granted to the competent military authorities in accordance with military regulations. The right to bury the remains of persons of merit for the State and society is granted to state authorities, institutions and social organisations. Persons who voluntarily undertake to do so also have the right to bury their remains.

Appeal mode
An appeal against the decision shall be lodged with the Self-Government Appeal Board in Katowice via the Mayor of Żory within 14 days of receipt of the decision.
